Abstract: This study focuses on the esteemed “Majallatulhind” ” مجلة الهند” a scholarly periodical that has long been committed to showcasing eminent figures. Over the years, the magazine has published numerous issues dedicated to personalities such as the renowned scholars Shibli al-Nu‘mānī, ‘Abd al-Ḥamīd al-Farāhī, and Fayḍān Allāh al-Fārūqī. These special editions serve as independent volumes replete with invaluable and scarce information.
In particular, the research delves into two distinct issues that intricately detail the life and contributions of the illustrious scholar Shibli al-Nu‘mānī. An individual of multifaceted talent, Shibli al-Nu‘mānī demonstrated exceptional proficiency in Quranic and Hadith studies, jurisprudence, rhetoric, history, poetry, teaching, education, writing, and scholarly composition. Moreover, he exhibited a remarkable aptitude for crafting insightful works on Islamic history and biography, showcasing a wealth of knowledge, creativity, and scholarly acumen. These two issues serve as an outstanding endeavor to introduce and analyze his profound legacy and literary contributions.
ملخص البحث: وإنّ “مجلة الهند” مجلة بحثية عملتْ منذ أوّل يومها لإبراز الشخصيات الكبيرة؛ فقد صدرت له أعدادٌ عديدة عن شخصيات مثل العلامة شبلي النعماني، والعلامة عبد الحميد الفراهي، والعلامة فيضان الله الفاروقي، وهذه الأعداد الخاصة ليست إلا ككتاب مستقل حافل بالمعلومات المفيدة النادرة. ونودّ في هذه العجالة أنْ نفصّل قليلًا عن العددين الخاصّين بسيرة وأعمال العلّامة شبلي النعماني.
والعلّامة شبلي النعماني شخصية تستحقّ أن يخصص لها الأعداد وتؤلف لها الكتب والرسائل، فإنها متعددة الجوانب؛ فقد كان العلّامة بارعًا في علوم القرآن والحديث، والفقه، ومتضلعًا في الكلام والتاريخ والشعر، وماهرًا في التدريس والتربية والتعليم، ورائعًا في الكتابة والتصنيف، بل هو رجل موفّق في تأليف كتب في السيرة والتاريخ الإسلامي، كما هو رجل موفّق، وموهوب، وذو انطلاق في الفكر والخيال والسعة العلمية. وهذان العددان محاولة ممتازة للتعريف به وبأعماله.
